It has been a busy past week or so. We moved on Friday, which surprisingly didn’t take as long as I thought it would…about 3 hours to load and unload the moving truck. I ended up babysitting Saturday night and most of the day Sunday so the plan of being completely unpacked by Sunday was kind of delayed, but I don’t think we are doing too bad. The living room is pretty much completely done, complete with decorations, and the kitchen is completely unpacked, we just have to hang the decorations. I am pretty much done unpacking my room as well. Anyway, it’s really nice…I like it a lot. I liked our old apartment too, I really liked the layout of it and everything, but it was too impractical. It was hard to heat and cool being two floors, and it just wasn’t as nice. I really like this one…it’s cute, we have a great view, and it’s just nice and homey. I’ll try to take some pictures soon.
We tried to put up the Christmas tree last night too, but somehow the middle pole of it got lost or something, so we couldn’t build it. Instead, we just put the top piece in and made a baby Christmas tree. It’s cute. We also have lots of Christmas decorations compliments of my mom.
Oh! My bathroom is really cute as well…it’s penguin themed and I love it!!!!!
Speaking of love, I also love my new laptop. It’s fun. I just have to get my programs, music and pictures and such on it and then it will be even more fun.
Obie and Zeke (my turtles) did a “mating dance” last night!! It was so weird!!! I’m not even sure how to explain it. Supposedly they are both boys, so hopefully I don’t end up with a ton of baby turtles. Apparently it is normal for the babies to do the “mating dance” even if they are both boys, and supposedly they can’t actually have babies anyway until they are 5 years old. So hopefully I don’t have anything to worry about, but I don’t know what I’d do with tons of baby turtles…
Anyway….just a quick update. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!! 
It has been quite an eventful week…
-my mom is on her way as we speak to come visit me! She’s bringing my cute little dog too! I miss them!!
-my new laptop arrived in the mail today!!! Which was weird because the FedEx tracking thing said that it left 2 days ago from China and was in Alaska last night. Estimated delivery was next Monday… but it came today. It’s at Beth’s house though, so I’ll get it tomorrow when her family comes for Thanksgiving!!!
-my mom and I are going to Beth’s family’s Thanksgiving. I was informed that there will not be mashed potatoes or noodles (my Grandma’s specialty) but I guess that’s ok since I haven’t had them in several years anyways.
-my penguin bathroom stuff also came in the mail, and it’s also at Beth’s house. I think everything but the shower hooks came, so that’s exciting!!!!
-I am pretty much done packing. FINALLY. I hate packing. We got our new apartment today!! I already took some stuff over, just kitchen decorations though. I’m excited about it! The living room is bigger than I remember. We are moving in on Friday!!!
-Joshua’s (the little boy I watch) dad side-swiped my car the other day. They were backing out of the driveway to leave and he forgot my car was there. Not too much damage…just scratched off some paint. I just talked to the insurance lady about how to get it fixed. I’ve never had to deal with insurance or anything because I’ve never been in an accident of any kind before. She was really nice though.

Well…things are going well. Just really busy. On top of trying to pack this week, I’ve been babysitting more than usual – which is a good thing, it has just eaten away my packing time. I was planning on packing today, but as soon as I drop off Joshua at noon, I’m going to another house to babysit until tomorrow evening!! It’ll be fun I think, like a sleepover, ha. But there goes my packing time again. I have packed some though, which makes me feel better. I just HATE packing and moving. I wish we could skip that process and just go straight to being settled in. I’m excited about it though.
I also finally got most of my pictures transferred to CD’s last night. I try to do that anyway, so I can delete them after a little bit since they take up so much space, but I had to do it soon since my new laptop is coming! Yay!!!
Watching the new little baby has been going well. She’s a generally good baby. The older one (who’s a little over a year old) is kind of whiney sometimes, and it amazes me at how young they learn how to do the “fake cry” thing. But it usually works out good because she’s pretty much ready for her morning nap when I get there and doesn’t wake up until it’s almost time for their mom to get home. The baby pretty much sleeps the whole time too unless she’s hungry. I do know, however, that I do not want two kids that close in age. At least 2 years I think.
Anyway…I have to go pick up Joshua in about 5 minutes so I better go……
I just ordered a laptop!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For Union’s homecoming concert this year Shane and Shane, Bebo Norman, and Alli Rogers came! I didn’t really know who Alli Rogers was, but I knew I liked Shane and Shane and Bebo Norman so I decided to get tickets… well, getting tickets was an interesting feat. They were on sale outside of the cafeteria every day from 11-2. I tried to get them on Monday and got there around 1:40, and they had already quit selling them for the day. So I went back on Tuesday…this time around 12:30 thinking that should be early enough, but no one was there. Getting frustrated, I emailed the lady in charge of it back and forth a couple of times and she said not to worry, she would help me get tickets some way. I went back on Wednesday (the day before the concert) at like 1:30, and finally someone was there!! He asked me where I wanted to sit and showed me all the seats that were taken. I asked him what he would recommend, and then he remembered that they had just gotten some tickets back! So I got 2nd row!!! I guess it was good I had to wait so long! Anyway, so the concert was pretty fun! I really like Shane and Shane and the new stuff that they sang. Bebo Norman was good too. I usually don’t like girl singers as well, but Alli Rogers was pretty good too.
And…after the concert we got to meet Shane and Shane!
