Lots has happened since the last time I updated. For some reason I just usually don’t feel like updating when there’s a lot going on even though it makes for the more interesting entries. Plus half of the time i feel like no one even reads this anyway, but here goes…
- went to Panama City with my mom and cousin a couple weeks ago. we had a pretty good time, mostly just layed out around the beach or the pool. I wanted to swim with dolphins, but I’m saving that for another time…
- Beth and I got a 2 bedroom apartment in another complex. I can’t wait to move into it!! we will move in November. It has a security system so hopefully we will feel and be a bit more safe. We drove around the apartments and decided which buildings we would prefer to live in. A lot of their buildings face the by-pass, but they have this big pretty field with trees in between a couple of the buildings so we thought we’d like to live in one of those buildings. we went to reserve “an apartment” (we didn’t think we could reserve a specific one yet since Nov. is so far away) but it ended up working out perfectly! The lady that cleans the apartments is moving out soon, and she has an apartment in the building that we liked. She even let us come up and see it. So, we reserved her’s, and we’ll have a great view of the pretty trees. It’ll also be really convenient for if we get a puppy like we are hoping to! Plus they had a really great deal going on, so we didn’t have to pay any fees or security deposits, just put $99 down which will end up going towards the rent once we move in, plus we get about $90 off each month’s rent which makes it even cheaper!
- Back in J-ville my mom bought a house too!! If all goes according to plan, she will be moving in about 3 weeks.
I think that’s it.. I can’t think of much else. So I guess I will go. I’ll try to update more frequently…
I am still a bit freaked out that someone broke into the apartment. I’m usually paranoid anyway, but i thought i was getting better. Now I’m completely paranoid again. at least this time i have a reason. Last night we went to take the garbage to the dumpster and there were 2 cops circling the place….AHH! it makes me feel better that they’re here, but that means someone had to call them to come probably because of suspicious activity or something. Luckily we’re moving in a few months – to an apartment with a security alarm hopefully!!!! and hopefully with a puppy!! 
Anyway, on a happier note, I have discovered that Target now has penguin shower curtains so I can FINALLY do my bathroom in penguins!!!! I had never been able to find penguin shower curtains except for on the internet, and all the ones I’d ever found on the internet were over-whelmingly blue and had pictures of real-life penguins (in other words, it wasn’t that cute).
But I can’t decide which of these two I like better…

I liked it because it’s cute, and it’s not crazy blue everywhere. Plus it’s more of a cartoon penguin instead of a real life penguin. And they apparently have googly eyes. However, it’s made out of vinyl which sometimes looks cheaper than cloth.
Or, I found this one at amazon.com:
It’s still kind of blue, but it’s a cartoon penguin scene instead of a real life one, which is what I want. This one is made out of fabric instead of vinyl and its only $5 more. I think they’re both cute I just can’t decide!!!
So everyone vote! Which one do you like better??
Someone broke into my apartment yesterday.
that’s unsettling.
I’m leaving for Panama City bright and early Saturday morning.
I’ve been babysitting a lot – Joshua (the kid I babysit) and his family just bought a new house. So they’ve been moving this week and last, so I’ve been keeping him a lot more than usual. Not complaining though, he’s a great baby. I usually watch him Mon, Wed, & Fri, but last week I watched him Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and was also dogsitting (I miss the dogs!! 
) and this week I was only going to watch him on Mon, Wed, and Fri again, but she changed it to Mon, Wed, Thur and Fri…
The apartment is a wreck, and I had every intention of cleaning it today on my day off, but I’m babysitting (for the family with the dogs! 
) and then cleaning Joshua’s family’s old apartment for them. THEN I’ll hopefully have time to clean my own apartment!!!
It’s made for a busy couple of weeks, but I’m not complaining. Being busy is actually better for me than having nothing to do because I get bored and depressed if I’m left alone too long.
I also love Joshua’s family!! yesterday they brought over a bunch of stuff that they didn’t want anymore. So I got 2 large mirrors to hang on the wall, a vertical one for my bedroom, a shower curtain, 2 bar stools, a toaster oven, a fondu thing, a nice framed picture, room-darkening shades for the bedroom which are custom cut to fit the windows in this apartment, a water pitcher with a filter in it, and I think that’s it. It was so nice of them though!! I knew they were going to give me the shades and the mirrors, but not all the other stuff. they are so sweet!!! Anyway, I am off to babysit now….
