A beautiful mess

What should I be for Halloween? We are having a party with a ROCK STAR theme! So I need a costume relating to that…Ideas please! and thank you!

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we’re not doing All Sing anymore which is kinda sad but kinda good. We only had a week and a half to get it together, which could be bad, plus I have a test Friday, Monday and Tuesday and I do need to study for those and being in All Sing would take up a lot of time that I should otherwise use to study. anywho…Chapel now then class…and then more study time!

I PASSED MY ANATOMY TEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, that is a big deal. The way everyone talked about it, I thought I was going to fail. but not only did I pass, I got a very high C! Which is not what I’d normally be happy with, but with that test I was just hoping to pass! you dont understand…! that made my week! Anyway, so Saturday we had our Party in the Park, except it rained so we skipped the park part and just ate at the Kappa Delta house. It was fun! Me, Beth, and Katy dressed up like kids (it was a summer theme, we just decided to dress like kids ’cause we’re cool) and somehow Titus and Ashley ended up being our parents. (see family photo:)

So it has been storming here for the past two days! Last night we had our very first tornado warning (since I’ve been here!) It storms a lot in Jackson though. But the sirens were going off and everything. Katy and I were outside and she dove head-first through my window because we had locked ourselves out. Our upstairs roommates came downstairs and we had a nice time bonding in the bathroom for about ten minutes.Good times. then we headed off to the Kappa Delta sleepover party.

That was pretty fun. We made little personal pizzas out of biscuits and sause and cheese and toppings. They were really good!! We played “I have never…” and the Pillow game and made really cool KD posters to decorate our rooms with. Amanda made me a really cute one! I love it!! I pretty much love all those girls too. They are going to be like the sisters I never had.

Anyway, I took my Anatomy & Phyisiology test on Thursday. It seemed easy (especially compared to what I had heard about it), but who knows. It always seems like every time you think you did well, it means you didn’t. PLus I have heard the prof grades super hard.Everyone has warned me not to be surprised if I get it back and it’s all marked up with red. So, I’m crossing my fingers but not holding my breath.

What else is going on?I can’t think of anything else off the top of my head. I am enjoying classes pretty well. It seems to be a lot easier to pay attention here for some reason. I haven’t fallen asleep in class either which is a plus

Tonight we were going to have a “Picnic in the Park” for KD but it’s raining, so we’re having it at the KD house. I’m excited! I’m wearing a cute dress!!!

So, this has to be quick because not only is this week busy EVERY NIGHT, I also have lots of homework!

So, Saturday was Bid Day. I’m now a member of Kappa Delta! We spent lots of time at the KD house, then we all went out to eat. Then we went to an alum’s house for a pool party!

Sunday was National Women’s Friendship Day (A holiday KD started!) so we had an ice cream social.

Today was First Degree which was a ceremony indicating the first step toward our initiation into KD, but we’re official members now!

Tomorrow is what I’m most excited about…..a SLIP ‘N SLIDE PARTY!!!!

Anyway, I’ll post more pictures later! I have a test Thursday and a paper due tomorrow! So I’m back to homework now!

Wednesday night I went to West Jackson Church for the college program with Stephanie, Kourtney and Karyne. I liked it a lot. We’re going back Sunday for an actual service & a college worship service. I’m excited for that because I get to see how the actual church is and I love worship services. Maybe just maybe I’ll join their watch-care program. Maybe.

Tonight is the Pref party for Rush. The last night. Tonight we sign our bid cards. That means tomorrow I’ll know if I’m in.

I have to be ready for Prefs at 9:15…so I thought I’d try to write my paper tonight to get it over with since I don’t know when I’ll have time this weekend. But it’s just not working. Not at all.

I’m taking a break and I’m leaving. I’m kind of upset. For no good reason. I hate it when someone who isn’t even around can STILL have such a huge impact on my life. GRRR.
