A beautiful mess

So I got a graduation card from my uncle that I haven’t seen or spoken to in several years… I would say at least 5 years. None of my family has either. I got said card about two weeks ago, and I wrote him a letter back. I got another letter back today. It’s really nice to hear from him and know he is doing good. He is a strong Christian now which I am very happy about. and it’s even kinda cool to be using the good ol’ snail mail system. it’s a lot slower, but there’s something nice about getting a letter in the mail… it’s kinda special.

I did something today I was always taught never to do: play in traffic. I guess it wasn’t really playing, it was more like standing in the middle of the road begging for money like a homeless person. Ok, so it wasn’t really begging, it was more like standing there with a bucket trying to raise money to get to Wisconsin. yeah, that’s more like it. It was extremely hot, but we raised a good bit. we didn’t count it yet, but it seemed like it.

well, I guess there’s nothing else, so I will get back to eating my cake.

Today has been the worst Father’s Day without my dad, except maybe the first one without him. I really miss him a lot today and basically it sucks. So needless to say it’s been a kinda crummy day, but it was as good as it could be I guess. I didn’t go up to visit his grave… but I am going to go sometime soon. I felt bad about not going until I realized he wouldn’t have wanted me to. He wouldn’t want me to be all sad all day. Last year and 2 years ago I was out of the country on father’s day. Its kind of hard to be gloomy while sightseeing in Europe. Maybe i’ll leave again next year, ’cause today was pretty much the suck.

I’m filling out thank you cards for all my graduation stuff. I never realized how time-consuming they are.. at least I am finally getting something done.

I’m not sure how to update… nothing much to say. Not that there isn’t a lot going on, because I’m still crazy busy, just don’t feel like writing I guess. I’m going to see the ECW One Night Stand show tonight. Hopefully it’s more enjoyable than the last show I went to. anywho, nothing much else to say. So I’m gonna go now. just checking in.

So, I graduted. I don’t think it’s really hit me yet.. but whatever. I wasn’t as sad as I thought I would be. I was expecting to cry because my dad wasn’t there. I almost started to cry during Amber’s speech because she was crying… but didn’t. I felt special because my brothers came. Adam even drove all the way from St.Louis and back in the same day. my brothers rock And Adam brought his girlfriend Rebecca. I like her, she is really nice. I approve A lot of my family actually came down. I was happy they could all make it. my aunt kathy & uncle richard.. my grandma eileen & donnie, Audrey and my favoritest cousin Alyssa (sorry I left you to party! I <3 u!) So yeah, my party turned out pretty well. I also got to see lots of people I haven’t seen in awhile like Meredith, Kimi and Kim… ok, not a lot but a few. So that was really cool. and I didn’t fall when I walked up to get the diploma cover either. go me! Anyways… yeah.. I’m officially a graduate. I win at life. Congrats class of 2005!
